This module should be used only for technical reasons) As little Remote Control interaction as possible (over the years I have grown to dislike this module in Zeus, I think the player should not be able to distinguish between a Zeus or a standard ArmA mission in terms of execution. Challenges for the clan (i.e things they don't get to do normally) Multiple realistic skirmishes, rather than huge battles to the death I tend to find that I enjoy the simpler/smaller Zeus missions. I think what we should be focusing on now is actually winning whilst improving our skills as a group because that is where the real fun is. I think the clan is growing out of its younger phase where it just wants to crash against waves and waves of enemies until a single NATO soldier is left. What I have been finding the more I play ArmA is that less is more in terms of combat. You could almost always come away feeling some sense of victory.

The missions were varied, roughly linear in progression with a simple backstory to get you interested. When I think of a Zeus mission I remember back to the Operation Flashpoint Campaign. Zeus should focus on the finer details that you just can't portray in a mission like Combat Patrol. Combat Patrol should be where we really hone our skills because we are truly at the mercy of the game alone. But you don't feel cheated because you know that there is no one up there watching over you. Its more unorganized combat where anything can happen. We have two great platforms now for missions.Ĭombat Patrol (although still in alpha) focuses our attention on the grand scale of things. I think Zeus should be everything that Combat Patrol isn't.
